Ugonna Hosten is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in the UK. She works across media encompassing collage, drawing and printmaking. Throughout her practice themes of myth as reality and the realm of the unconscious are prevalent.

Born in Nigeria and migrating to the UK as a child, Ugonna’s work seeks to explore the notion of duality (namely earthly and spiritual) as being central to the human experience. In shaping the meeting place of the two planes; personal, cultural and historical narratives are examined in an attempt to convey the dimensions of the self and its connection to the collective unconscious.
