Annie Mackin is an artist based in Hastings, UK. Born of an Irish Mother and Scottish Father, Annie is inspired by her Celtic ancestry, in particular pre–Christian Ireland and the goddesses worshipped then.
Annie grew up in Ladbroke Grove, West London and studied mixed media fine art at the University of Westminster. Since 2009 she has shown widely as part of several group shows. In 2014 she was one of five artists in the Annin arts presents #Mynameis project, alongside Turner Prize winner Gillian Wearing. Since then, she has had many collaborative exhibitions with her partner, most notably Stan (Stone) at The Palm Tree Gallery in 2017. In 2021 her multi-sensory solo exhibition Through Smoke was held at 35 North Contemporary Fine Art as part of Women’s biennial.
